More Money for Vacation?

I know that I just keep blogging about my finances for my vacation, but I am completely obsessed with it.

I have 2 weeks left before I leave and I currently have $450 in my spending account. One of my good friends is going to be in Chicago next weekend, so I’m going to drive up and visit her. This will cost gas and food and dog boarding. So I’m figuring this will cost me around $150 total. Which is less than a plane ticket to San Diego to go see her, so I’m totally willing to spend this. I can reduce this to $100 pretty easily if we just drive to Chicago, eat dinner, stay the night and go back home. I’ll discuss with Cpt. Baseball what he prefers, though I am really, really excited about seeing my friend. This will also be the first friend from San Diego that will get to meet Cpt. Baseball, so it is kind of a big deal.

Anyway, that will leave me with around $200-$250 left in my account for my vacation. Not too shabby. So here are the numbers:

Current amount in account: $1,406
Proposed tutoring $$: $75
Money from BofA account: $300
Money from ING account: $200
Money from next month’s deposit: $415
————————————-
Total: $2396

Not too shabby… at all!

I need to start thinking of what I’m going to pack and see if it can all fit into my teeny, tiny backpack!

Man, I can’t believe I’m going to go 20 days without the internet. I know it is not quite what FB is going through, but man, it is going to be rough for this internet addict! I also need to decide which card I’m going to use while in Europe. I’ve already informed Chase of my travel dates because I was planning on using their card, but I can make free ATM withdrawals in Germany with my BofA card. So that may eventually win out, though I really don’t want to have to go to an ATM while in Europe. Also, I’m an idiot and when I was depositing my checks today I forgot to ask about getting some Euros at the bank. DUMB!
